1.- Informes periódicos de Evaluación del IPCC: Cambio climático.

 
En 1990, o Grupo Intergobernamental de Expertos sobre o Cambio Climático (IPCC, polas súas siglas en inglés) publicou o seu primeiro Informe de Avaliación sobre o estado do clima global, que se converteu en principal referencia das negociacións para o establecemento dunha convención sobre cambio climático no contexto da Asemblea Xeral de Nacións Unidas. Este grupo de expertos, no que participan miles de científicos de todo o mundo, é unha entidade creada polas Nacións Unidas para proporcionar información científica obxectiva e neutral do estado de coñecementos sobre o cambio climático e é recoñecida pola práctica totalidade da comunidade científica especializada na materia.
